What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites. Local storage is a similar feature of your browser that lets a website keep small pieces of data on your device. Both help websites remember your choices.
What we use
| Type | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Essential / functional (local storage) | rtoquiz_lang, rtoquiz_hist | Remember your test language and your recent scores on your device. Not sent to us. |
| Advertising (third-party cookies) | Google AdSense and its partners | Show ads, limit repeats, measure ad performance and, where permitted, personalise ads. |
| Analytics (if enabled) | Traffic measurement tools | Understand overall usage of the Site. |
Managing cookies
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and others all provide this).
- Opt out of personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, or visit aboutads.info.
- To remove your saved language and scores, clear this site's data in your browser.
If you block local storage, the Site still works, but your language choice and score history will not be remembered.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Site changes. See our Privacy Policy for more.
